The purpose of this calculator is to provide insights into the topic to encourage more librarians to think about actions and implement them in libraries.

Public Libraries are relevant cultural institutions and educational spaces with the mandate of free access to information, which play an important role in fulfilling the Agenda’s 2030 goals for Sustainable Development. Societies in which it is possible for everyone to obtain the information they need at the right time are better placed to combat poverty and inequality, improve the health of their population, support culture, research and innovation. Not only the public access to information is important but also to use the library as a meeting space for education, workshops, lectures, expositions, courses, etc.
